Online Prepare Childbirth Class mirrors our live classes and is a wonderful option for those who are on bed rest or just simply can not make our weeknight/weekend classes. Upon registration, which costs $75 you will be given login instructions as well as your access code, which is ONLY valid for 3 months. A copy of the book is also included in the price and will be mailed to you upon confirmation of your address.
Breastfeeding Support Group meets every Wednesday, is free to the community and is led by Georgia Crowhurst, our Lactation Consultant. Breastfeeding children under the age of one are welcome. No pre-registration is required. Contact Georgia Crowhurst for additional information at 281-401-7209.
Baby Basics 3-N-1 is a one day course, Saturday February 25 at 9am perfect for expectant parents who are short on time. This course offers three classes to help expectant parents get ready for baby. The following classes are included:
Breastfeeding
Newborn Care
Infant CPR and Safety
Breastfeeding Class is taught by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant provides an informative and interactive class on breastfeeding. The focus of this class is to help families achieve a successful breastfeeding experience at the birthing center and at home. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the following:
- Advantages of breastfeeding
- Breast anatomy
- Proper latching technique
- How to hold your baby for a more comfortable breastfeeding experience
- How to establish a good milk supply
- How partners can participate in the breastfeeding experience
- Pumping and storage of breast milk
- Breastfeeding resources and support groups
- How to address the challenges of breastfeeding
